Made a trip back to Sitiawan 2 weeks ago. Felt great to be home. Just too bad, I missed a very big event. Deep sea fighing with my hometown buddies! Just as I got home, my friends were already back from the sea with humongous prize catches. Let's take a look...

Had a chat with Kelvin last night. Some people never change. He was as cheerful as always. Updated me on his travel plans, who's getting a new car (ahem!!), who's into business and so on.

Anyway, these photos remind me of my old friend.

Postcards from Krabi (Editted)

Krabi is a southern Thai province, located at the shore to the Andaman Sea. There you will see solitary limestone hills, both on the land and in the seas (forming islands). These hills I must say is breathtakingly beautiful. Rock climbers from all over the world travel to Railey Beach to climb these limestone hills.

If you have no idea what-so-ever on the whereabouts of this "Krabi" I just mentioned...

Of about 130 islands in the Krabi Province, Ko Phi Phi Lee is perhaps the most famous. Remember Leonardo Dicaprio in the movie "The Beach"?? This movie was shot in Maya Beach circa year 2000.

Other islands include Ko Phi Phi Don and Ko Lanta. The limestone hills contain many caves, most having beautiful stalactites and stalagmites. What's interesting in Krabi is that you can kayak into the 'lay caves', lying completely flat of your back in the kayak while the current takes you across the caves. The caves of Krabi are also one of the main sources of Thailand's bird's nests.

Jiajiazi: I went to Krabi by car. Took me about 5 hours from Perlis, and a heck lot of adventure. Accomodation in Thailand is generally cheap. If you stay at Krabi Town, average room with aircond is about RM 40 (2 single beds). RM 60 can get you same room with breakfast. Accomodation at Ao Nang Beach is a little more expensive, but below RM 100. If you do happen to make the trip, don't forget to visit Crazy Bar in Krabi Town for a krazee night's out. Nice Thai songs and lots of nice local girls. Oh, Thai food is simply excellent!

Just some photos to share for the weekend. I'll be making a trip back to Sitiawan today, first time in two months. I'm doing counselling for 2 weeks, and the preceptor is so kind to let me take 2 days leave. See u in Sitiawan this weekend ok (not u, YiJie).

Well.. the exam was over and done. I just can't believe how tough that paper was. No time to finish up all that 5 essay questions.

Anyways, my weekends here are going to return to normal. No more studying on Saturdays and Sundays. So what's there to do here in Perlis?? No Kelvin... I don't go to Thailand EVERY single weekend.
