Paris Je'taime

Looking back at these photos transport me back to Paris. I just cant get enough of Paris, even though we were there for 5 days!! The Louvre, Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, walking along the Seine River, the Notre Dame Cathedral... It was like a dream being able to visit these places!! One regret is that we missed out Chateau de Versailles, which some have said to be one of the not-to-be-missed attractions in France. Anyway, it was surreal to visit the Louvre (especially the inverted pyramids) after reading about it in the book "Da Vinci Code" (I have not watched the movie). I had such a great time!!
I love Paris!!

Pimp My Ride

Ok. I got mixed reviews when I wrote the post on horse riding. So many kutuking and sinis remarks.. So I decided to pimp my ride here in Perlis. What do you think? =)

Maid No More!!

Miss Puah used to be called a maid. More so when she was living with the now Australian pharmacist Hua Ying in The Penthouse. However, she cut her hair, changed her wardrobe and soon her make-up. In fact, her hair is second only to Victoria Beckham. Well done girl She has indeed transformed into the Princess of Seremban. She spent all her critical allownce to upgrade herself, just like HOT PEI SUNG in 2007.

In this photo, Miss Puah tries to act sophiscated by using the chopsticks in her so-called "Japanese style" when eating sushi...

For those who wants to pump themselves like Miss Puah, fret not. Our sources caught her seeking cosmetics advice from Jasmine. Jasmine works in the BPFK, so I think she can sell those confiscated cosmetics at cheaper rates. Call her now!! Beware, just in case those ciplak cosmetics had sidenafil inside. Well done Miss Puah, Princes of Seremban. =)

Mr. Mineral Water

The system sucks. We've been waiting for that supposed increase in critical allowance for months. Acrix got his in January, but the other states are still waiting. Is it really gonna increase??
Looks like Mr Soh will have to bring his 'Diamond' mineral water out for another month... Looking sharp dude!!

Snapshots of Hatyai

Thailand is famous for it's tuk-tuk trucks, which functions as a taxi around here. Seriously, public transport in Hatyai is not cheap, but they take you everywhere.

Meet Od, my driver, and his son. He was really friendly, although communication was a real problem. He tried to speak as much English and Hokkien as he could.

One thing with Thailand is that there are mnay many mnay beautiful wats (Buddist temples). The designs are very detailed and colourful.

Fresh young coconut water is particularly refreshing in this part of the world. Maybe you might know this: Thailand is also known as Land of Coconuts (!!).

This is the Thai-Muslim typical dish. Fried chicken. Best eaten with pulut.

Crossed wires in Hatyai. Not an uncommon sight in the whole of Thailand. I guess it boils down to town-planning.

Thais believe in the supernatural - That's why the best horror movies are from this country. Shutter, The Unborn, Nang-Nak, etc... They even set up the "Alien Inspection Task Force"!!! (very 'cold' I known... LOL)

A Toast to the Birthday Girl

The Elite Team family would like to wish "Happy Birthday" to Miss Ng Siau Yong from the Tawau Hospital in Sabah. May all your wishes come true.

We would also like to welcome her back to Peninsula Malaysia, and I'm sure that there are many excited members who would like to meet up with her again. I heard from Felicia that Siau Yong won't be coming to Perlis unfortunately, because... "who wants to see horses and paddy fields?? Siau Yong likes shopping and hair saloons". Well.. sound like Hat Yai to me.... no? =)

HAPPY 24th BIRTHDAY SIAU YONG!!!
PS: Happy Pi Day everyone. 3.142... get it??

Holdin' Your Horses

I yet again have a new hobby here. I'm now loving horses. (Not in that disgusting kinda way Acrix) There's a new Equestrian center in perlis and horse riding is free for the first 6 months. The place is located in the middle of limestone hills. so it's a very relaxing place to chill out.

A close-up photo of my favourite horse. Coincidentally, the owner's from Thailand. =)

Photo of a pony (kuda padi). They keep all sort of horses here.

I'll end with a photo of my colleagues in Perlis.

American Idol Fever

One of the good things of being in Enforcement Pharmacy for 2 months is that I actually get super-fast internet connections daily. Have been deprived of regular internet connection for the past 6 months (!! time flies), so nowadays I'm constantly looking up for nice clips on the Youtube. Having said that, being the only PRP in the Perlis Enforcement is super busy, as we have to prepare investigation papers, travel 40 km to Padang Besar daily to sign consignments, on-call on weekends (sometimes), raidings, inspections, ceramahs to give and do dog's work such as preparing statistics for 2007, keying in consignment details as well as preparing a PRP report.

Ok, back to topic. Ramiele Malubay is her name. She's the only Asian American left in the competition. A very powerful voice for such a small sized girl. This year this is the contestant that melts my heart. Check her out...
