It's been 2 weeks since I'm here in Kangar. Just wanna show some photos that I took with my Samsung Z400. The postcode here is 01000. How cool is that??!! Lol. And this is the post office. Reminds me of Kuala Terengganu this place. Chee Yang sure survive here very well.

Look, there's a mountain behing these shoplots. And it's in the middle of the city!!

PS: A very belated birthday wish to LOO YEE WEN!! Not only did she bring us the Sept 11 Attack in 2001. This year, she brought us the earthquake in Indonesia and maybe tsunami (!!). It only proves one thing... THIS GIRL ROCKS THE WORLD!!!! Happy Birthday Ewen!!

Found It!

Jasmine, I am well in Perlis. Just waiting for you to be posted here. (Lol!) I have found a house built on stilts, as we have planned. It's perfect as we can put our car below it and rear some chickens. Remember... we're gonna name our chickens "Philip and Doreen", to remind us of my ex-housemate and yours!! It's also a great place our 18 kids to grow up. The air is fresh and they can run around in the paddy fields in the evenings.. Hope you like this house!!

New Life, New Beginning

A fresh start as a PRP (provisionally registered pharmacist) in Kangar, Perlis.

Yesterday was my first day, and there were sooo many forms to fill in. We need to have 3 passport photos, a photocopy of the bank book and also photocopy of KWSP number. For those who are still waiting for posting, I would advise you to get these stuff ready, and even register at your nearest KWSP to save you from all that trouble.

Hospital Tuanku Fauziah is a small hospital, so it's not really busy except if you're assigned to dispensing. Yesterday I helped out at the dispensing desk and had to search for drugs all over the place, not being used to their colour system and also drug classifications. Today, I've been assigned to the TDM (Therapeutic drug Monitoring) Department for 1 month. This is where we screen for Gentamicin, Digoxin, and Theophyllin in the blood. Intersting stuff. Lolz. It's not really busy, and I'm supposed to record down 5 cases a week. Imagine that! That's one case a day!! It takes 15-20 minutes to do one sampling.

The hospital here do not have enough pharmacists, and I heard that all 7 PRPs from last year could not transfer back to their home-states. Well, lets see what happen next year. At least there's 1 grand senior from IMU, and she's quite helpful.

I'm staying with an old couple, and do not have internet connection. I do not foresee myself being online often, except when I'm based in TDM.
My friends, good luck in your posting.

Merdeka! Merdeka! Merdeka!

Our country is 50 years old! Yay! Are you flying up high your Jalaur Gemilang this Merdeka Day?? All over the country, I seem to notice that the merdeka spirit had somewhat died down since a few years ago. There's this big hooha about 50 years anniversary, yet people are not putting up their flag (including me!!).

There was this one year that EVERYONE was sticking the flags to their cars to profess their love for the country. I remember many cars were asthetically damaged due to the paint coming off with the flag, as the gum was so powerful.

Well, if you love you country, there are many ways. Have you registered as a voter??

My dad is now in charge of registering NEW voters. Details required:

Full Name (as per IC)
IC Number
Address (as per IC)
Telephone number (mobile also can)
Religion

If you send these details to my e-mail (subwoofer202@yahoo.com) or text me (016-5070676), my dad will get you all registered. I hope you trust me enough. I will not use these info for any other purpose. Note that this registration is only for NEW voters who have not registered before. I will send you an e-mail/ SMS when you have been registered.

Alternatively, you can also get registered at the nearest Post Office. The power is yours. This service is basically for lazy bums out there.. Lol.

My drive-home message for you guys out there; If you love you country, exercise your right to VOTE. And make this country a better one. =) I have registered, how about you??

Of Sheeps and Sticks

Did you know that: If you hold a stick in front of the foremost sheep in a flock that was walking down a trail in the mountains, he will jump it, and every sheep thereafter will jump when he reaches the spot, even if the stick was to be removed. This poem reminds me so much of Robert Frost's Road Not Taken (which I believe you "young" people took for SPM!!). If we open our eyes, we might see the facts and opportunities that we never knew existed. That's what I keep telling myself. =) The bridge of life is still very long before us. Who knows what rewards or obstacles awaits us there, unless we finally reach arrive in the end.

The Things That Haven't Been Done Before
by Edward A. Guest.

The things that haven't been done before,
Those are the things to try;

Columbus dreamed of an unknown shore

At the rim of the far-flung sky,

And his heart was bold and his faith was strong
As he ventured in dangers new,

And he paid no heed to the jeering throng
Or the fears of the doubting crew.

The many will follow the beaten track
With guideposts on the way,
They live and have lived for ages back
With a chart for every day.
Someone has told them it's safe to go
On the road he has traveled over,
And all that they ever strive to know
Are the things that were known before.

A few strike out, without map or chart,
Where never a man has been,
From the beaten paths they draw apart
To see what no man has seen.
There are deeds they hunger alone to do;
Though battered and bruised and sore,
They blaze the path for the many, who
Do nothing not done before.

The things that haven't been done before
Are the tasks worth while today;
Are you one of the flock that follows, or
Are you one that shall lead the way?
Are you one of the timid souls that quail
At the jeers of a doubting crew,
Or dare you, whether you win or fail,
Strike out for a goal that's new?

Final Gathering

Gosh, what an emotional day! Graduation today was tiring (7AM!!), but it was also among the last few times we'll be together as a batch. Everyone wanted to take a pic with everyone, and God only knows whose camera I pinjam and will never get those pics. Lol. Well P104, it was an honour to meet all you crazy people. Further more, some are really famous people like Park Ji-Sung, Rachel Victoria Beckham Puah ying Jia, Jang Na-Ra, "Ah Wong", Takashi Kaneshiro. Erm ok la, Kelvin does look a bit like Jay Chou.. Lol.

Thinking back of the good and bad memories, one can only be amazed by how quickly time goes by. To all my beloved friends, good luck in your future undertakings, let try our best to keep in touch and take it from there. 10, 20 30 years from now, we will still be old hags who remember playing Dota 5 hour packages from Semester 2-5. Ajimal Razim will always be in our hearts, a place where the lastest gossips and announcements are made. Lol.

Like my pal Ali G always say, "Keep it Real".

It's nice. Dzienkuje.
