Mr. Mineral Water

The system sucks. We've been waiting for that supposed increase in critical allowance for months. Acrix got his in January, but the other states are still waiting. Is it really gonna increase??
Looks like Mr Soh will have to bring his 'Diamond' mineral water out for another month... Looking sharp dude!!

Snapshots of Hatyai

Thailand is famous for it's tuk-tuk trucks, which functions as a taxi around here. Seriously, public transport in Hatyai is not cheap, but they take you everywhere.

Meet Od, my driver, and his son. He was really friendly, although communication was a real problem. He tried to speak as much English and Hokkien as he could.

One thing with Thailand is that there are mnay many mnay beautiful wats (Buddist temples). The designs are very detailed and colourful.

Fresh young coconut water is particularly refreshing in this part of the world. Maybe you might know this: Thailand is also known as Land of Coconuts (!!).

This is the Thai-Muslim typical dish. Fried chicken. Best eaten with pulut.

Crossed wires in Hatyai. Not an uncommon sight in the whole of Thailand. I guess it boils down to town-planning.

Thais believe in the supernatural - That's why the best horror movies are from this country. Shutter, The Unborn, Nang-Nak, etc... They even set up the "Alien Inspection Task Force"!!! (very 'cold' I known... LOL)

A Toast to the Birthday Girl

The Elite Team family would like to wish "Happy Birthday" to Miss Ng Siau Yong from the Tawau Hospital in Sabah. May all your wishes come true.

We would also like to welcome her back to Peninsula Malaysia, and I'm sure that there are many excited members who would like to meet up with her again. I heard from Felicia that Siau Yong won't be coming to Perlis unfortunately, because... "who wants to see horses and paddy fields?? Siau Yong likes shopping and hair saloons". Well.. sound like Hat Yai to me.... no? =)

HAPPY 24th BIRTHDAY SIAU YONG!!!
PS: Happy Pi Day everyone. 3.142... get it??

Holdin' Your Horses

I yet again have a new hobby here. I'm now loving horses. (Not in that disgusting kinda way Acrix) There's a new Equestrian center in perlis and horse riding is free for the first 6 months. The place is located in the middle of limestone hills. so it's a very relaxing place to chill out.

A close-up photo of my favourite horse. Coincidentally, the owner's from Thailand. =)

Photo of a pony (kuda padi). They keep all sort of horses here.

I'll end with a photo of my colleagues in Perlis.

American Idol Fever

One of the good things of being in Enforcement Pharmacy for 2 months is that I actually get super-fast internet connections daily. Have been deprived of regular internet connection for the past 6 months (!! time flies), so nowadays I'm constantly looking up for nice clips on the Youtube. Having said that, being the only PRP in the Perlis Enforcement is super busy, as we have to prepare investigation papers, travel 40 km to Padang Besar daily to sign consignments, on-call on weekends (sometimes), raidings, inspections, ceramahs to give and do dog's work such as preparing statistics for 2007, keying in consignment details as well as preparing a PRP report.

Ok, back to topic. Ramiele Malubay is her name. She's the only Asian American left in the competition. A very powerful voice for such a small sized girl. This year this is the contestant that melts my heart. Check her out...

He's Gonna Be... The Next American idol

It's been a long time since I included a Youtube video in this blog. And also a long time since I watched American Idol. I think this kid really has a lot of potential, and Simon thinks that as well. David Archuleta is only 17, but when he sang "Imagine" by John Lennon, you forget his age totally. His version of this amazing song is very original and some says even better than the original. Fyi, Imagine was voted many times as "The Best Song of All Time" in the United States, and thus was a very 'dangerous' song choice to perform. Check it out...

Found It!! (2)

This Valentine's Day...

Maybe the house that I found in Perlis was not beautiful enough. Maybe it was too small, too ugly, or cant fit many chickens... So, I took the initiative to look around for more options.

This one looks more spacious, but may need some major makeover...

Maybe this one..??

Found this lovely rumah kampung near my current house. Seems perfect!! What do you think Jasmine??? =)

This post is just a creation by the author. Jasmine is currently in a loving realtionship. Happy Valentine's Day 2008 everyone!!

Fourth Anniversary for P104

Can you belive it?? 4 whole years!! Frens, happy anniversary. Glad to have known ya'll. Let's have a blast to the past.

2004.02.09 - P104 officially began. We had the "it-was-terrible-but-now-memorable" orientation.

2004.05.21 - First trip to Genting Highlands, when we had our very first study break. What a start to the MPharm program!! Still remember Ah Soh and his laici story??!!

2004.06.09 - Trip to Taman Negara organized by Ron. Many may not know that this was where 'Elite Team' was conceptualized. Note some Lambda gang members in the photo...

2004.10.15 - IMU Cup. All I remember was we din win many points. But we did have lots of fun. As for the cheerleading, we threw up a good fight, but was unsuccessful in the end. Haiz..

2005.04.09 - IMU Ball. Everyone was dressed to the nines. Never have I encountered so many people flashing their cameras non-stop..

2005.05.04 - Trip to Pulau Redang organized by Turtle Boy. The island was a true beauty.

2006.05.26 - We graduated from IMU with Part A Certificate.

2006.06.06 - Off to Glasgow for a year and had so many memorable moments. Last CNY, we were arguing on whether to have the the Reunion Dinner upstairs or downstairs. This year, we would give up many things to meet up with each other again.

2007.06.02 - Before we knew it, it was time to leave. Everyone seems to miss UK so much!

2007.06.25 - Finally, GRADUATION!! True blue Scottish style aye...

2007.08.18 - Back to life, back to reality. Had another graduation in Sheraton Subang Jaya. That was when that I last saw a majority of you guys. When shall we meet again???

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY P104!!!
