Snapshots of Hatyai

Thailand is famous for it's tuk-tuk trucks, which functions as a taxi around here. Seriously, public transport in Hatyai is not cheap, but they take you everywhere.

Meet Od, my driver, and his son. He was really friendly, although communication was a real problem. He tried to speak as much English and Hokkien as he could.

One thing with Thailand is that there are mnay many mnay beautiful wats (Buddist temples). The designs are very detailed and colourful.

Fresh young coconut water is particularly refreshing in this part of the world. Maybe you might know this: Thailand is also known as Land of Coconuts (!!).

This is the Thai-Muslim typical dish. Fried chicken. Best eaten with pulut.

Crossed wires in Hatyai. Not an uncommon sight in the whole of Thailand. I guess it boils down to town-planning.

Thais believe in the supernatural - That's why the best horror movies are from this country. Shutter, The Unborn, Nang-Nak, etc... They even set up the "Alien Inspection Task Force"!!! (very 'cold' I known... LOL)
